High-pressure laboratory autoclaves model IV Special accessories for temperature measurement
excl. VAT.
Art. No. 331077
Product details
500 ml/100 barModel IV is the largest autoclave in the ROTH range. It is an enhanced version of the original from which all other models were developed. Model IV consists of a stainless steel beaker with flange. The solid stainless steel lid is screwed onto the flange using eight screws. The autoclave head is intended for a large busting disc as standard. It thus provides enhanced operational safety in the case of spontaneous gas development and a quick increase in pressure. The enlarged autoclave head is screwed directly onto the cylindrical autoclave beaker. It contains the bursting disc holder at the top and three threaded openings at the side. For connections with: valves, reducers for pressure gauges and temperature sensors or bursting disc safety device ll (when using the magnetic stirrer head).Threaded openings can be closed with screw stoppers. Sealed with PTFE gaskets (max. 180 °C) or with pure silver gaskets (max. 300 °C).The beaker and head combination consists of 8 hexagon bolts and nuts for simple assembly.Depending on the scope of the autoclave system, delivery times may apply!

Due to the shape of the screw thread, cold setting of cylinder and head is possible when screwing these on. This usually leads to them sticking when opening and the thread breaking as a result. The conducted reaction necessitates coating the thread with a release agent such as PTFE spray (Art. No. K007.1).Warning: Do not use PTFE screw thread tape!
When working with silver gaskets, it is essential to tighten the screw threads very tightly to achieve the necessary seat. We therefore recommend annealing the silver gaskets at +850 °C before use - the gaskets remain softer and more pliable, even when cool, and seal more efficiently.
