Product details

Anionic polymer emulsion AL 1250 ROTI®Floc
Applications

Anionic polymer emulsion AL 1250 is used in various industrial sectors, including mining, ore and metal processing, as well as the extraction and processing of mineral raw materials. Typical applications include:- flocculation and thickening of quartz sand suspensions- dewatering of support wall materials and drilling slurries- dewatering of contaminated mineral sludges- flocculation of clays and process waters in the gravel and sand industry- clarification and dewatering during acidic copper leaching

Application

Anionic polymer emulsion AL 1250 impresses with its excellent thickening performance during turbidity clarification, with application rates ranging from 1 to 20 g/m³. Due to its special product characteristics, it offers high floc stability and resistance to pressure and shear during mechanical dewatering. The average dosage for sludge dewatering is 20 to 400 g/t of dry substance.Depending on storage conditions and the age of the product, phase separation may occur. In this case, the product should be stirred before use at low shear. It is recommended to prepare stock solutions with a concentration of 0.3 to 1.0% and to use them within 3 to 5 days, depending on the concentration and water hardness. Effectiveness may decrease if used after a longer storage period.

User information

The product exhibits only low corrosive properties towards common materials. Particularly suitable materials include stainless steel, fiberglass, polyethylene (HDPE), polypropylene (PP), and rubber-lined surfaces. The use of aluminum, copper, and galvanized surfaces is not recommended.Furthermore, the following materials are not suitable for contact with the product:- EPDM- Natural rubber- Polyurethane- PVCTips for handling anionic polymer emulsion AL 1250:- use pumps with low shear load, such as eccentric screw pumps.- for seals and stators in eccentric screw pumps, acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR Perbunan), Hypalon (CSM), and Viton (FPM) are recommended.- when using diaphragm piston pumps, maximize the stroke volume and minimize the stroke frequency.- avoid using pipes with a diameter of less than 10 mm.
