Product details
Cationic polymer emulsion CL 845 ROTI®Floc
The product was developed for a wide range of applications in municipal and industrial wastewater and sludge treatment. It demonstrates particularly high efficiency in the sedimentation of solids as well as in thickening and dewatering processes.
Cationic polymer emulsion CL 845 is fully effective over a wide pH range. For use, it is recommended to prepare stock solutions with a concentration of 0.3 to 1.0%. These should be used within 3 to 5 days, as effectiveness may decrease over time - depending on the concentration and water hardness.Phase separation may occur with extended storage or under certain storage conditions. In such cases, the product should be thoroughly stirred under low shear before use.Prolonged storage outside the recommended temperature range may impair the product's properties and should therefore be avoided.
The product exhibits only low corrosive effects on common materials. Particularly suitable materials include stainless steel, fiberglass, polyethylene (HDPE), polypropylene (PP), and rubber-lined surfaces. The use of aluminum, copper, and galvanized surfaces is not recommended. The following materials are also not suitable for contact with the product:- EPDM- Natural rubber- Polyurethane- PVCTips for handling cationic polymer emulsion CL 845:- Use low-shear pumps, such as progressive cavity pumps.- For seals and stators in progressive cavity pumps, acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR Perbunan), Hypalon (CSM), and Viton (FPM) are recommended.- When using diaphragm piston pumps, the stroke volume should be maximized and the stroke frequency minimized.- Avoid using pipes with a diameter of less than 10 mm.Environmental compatibility:The product meets the requirements of the German Fertilizer Ordinance (DÜMV) regarding the biodegradability of synthetic polymers. It degrades by more than 20% within 24 months, thus fulfilling the legal requirements according to § 10(4) Transitional Provisions, Annex 2, Table 7, Line 7.4.7 (as a starting material), and Annex 2, Table 8, Lines 8.1.3 or 8.2.9 (as a processing or application aid).
