Actinomycin D ≥950 μg/mg, for biochemistry
Specific inhibitor of DNA-dependent RNA-synthesis. Inhibition is caused by intercalation in dsDNA and, therefore, is not specific for procaryotic cells.
Standard application is the preparation of cDNA.
Actinomycin D is cytostatic, toxic and sensitive to light.
Stock solution should be kept in a bottle covered with foil.
