Neomycin ≥600 μg/mg, for biochemistry
Antibiotic from Streptomyces fradiae which inhibits bacterial protein synthesis in a broad range of procaryotes (even in dormant germs). Inhibition of protein biosynthesis through binding to ribosomal 30S subunits.
