Hellmanex® III is a fully-fledged replacement for chromosulphuric acid in terms of its cleaning effect.
Application concentration: 0.5-2 vol. %; the optimum dosing system depends on several factors such as the hardness of the water, degree and type of soiling, temperature, etc. The use of demineralised water improves the cleaning properties.
Exposure time: 2 to 180 min. Increasing the temperature, up to 35 °C (80 °C for quartz glass), accelerates the cleaning process.
Material compatibility: in the application concentration of a 2% solution, Hellmanex® III is suitable for glass, quartz glass, sapphire, porcelain, ceramics, plastics and ferrous metals. It is conditionally suitable for corrosion-sensitive metals such as aluminium and non-ferrous metals. Avoid long exposure times here. For materials not mentioned, compatibility tests should be carried out or enquiries directed to Hellma.

Liquid alkaline concentrate for highly effective cleaning of glass and quartz glass cuvettes and other sensitive optical parts. It can also be used to clean laboratory equipment made of glass, quartz glass, sapphire and porcelain.
