Wright-Giemsa solution ROTI®HistoGreen alcohol-free, ready-to-use, for microscopy
The ROTI®HistoGreen Wright-Giemsa solution is an alcohol-free staining solution for blood and bone marrow smears. The staining is based on a mixture of different dyes, including eosin and methylene blue. Either ROTI®SmearFix or methanol can be used for the fixation of the smears.
Blood smears should always be prepared from fresh blood samples.
ROTI®HistoGreen staining solutions are ready-to-use and do not need to be filtered before use!
- Preparation of an air-dried and fixed smear
- Incubation in Wright-Giemsa solution for 2 min
- Incubation in Wright-Giemsa solution (1:5 diluted) for 6 min
- Rinse 2x with buffer solution acc. to Weise for 10 s each
- Air-drying of stained smear
- Alcohol-free – contains neither methanol nor ethanol
- Safe – no hazardous substance classification
- Ready to use – no filtration required
