General information

Warning: UV-C radiation is detrimental to health!

Fields of application:

  • UV-A = 320 to 380 nm (max 366 nm): effect lighting, testing of materials, commencement of photochemical reaction, fluorescence excitation e.g. with DCchromatogrammes and gels.
  • UV-B = 280 to 320 nm (max 312 nm): e.g. analytic evaluation of chromatography plates without destroying separated substances.
  • UV-C = 100 to 280 nm (max 254 nm): e.g. chromatographic investigation for identifying (absorption or fluorescence) substances.
