Inhibitor of serine proteases. Competitive inhibitor of trypsin and trypsin-like enzymes, acrosin, thrombin and plasmin.
Application: Stock solution: 100-150 mg/ml (0.65-1 M) in H2O and alcohol. Storage of stock solution at -20 °C. Working concentration: 150-750 µg/ml (1-5 mM). Benzamidine is sensitive to oxidation. It is recommended to prepare fresh solutions each time for use. Stock solutions should only be stored for a short time.
