May-Gruenwald's solution for microscopy

May–Gruenwald's solution is a methanolic solution of eosin methylene blue. Due to the high concentration of methanol, the specimens are fixed at the same time (recommended residence time: 3 min).
May–Gruenwald's solution is used for differential staining of blood smears and cytological specimens.
