Product details
Isooctane ≥99,75 %, for synthesis
Isooctane has an octane rating of 100, as defined internationally. This means that high-purity isooctane (min. 99.75 %) is a primary reference fuel for determining the octane rating of petrol in a specially built engine. Since the demand for isooctane is much greater than can be obtained from crude oil, it is produced from isobutene and isobutane using the alkylation process.
